Bite-Sized Cheesy Beanie Burgers

Ingredients

1 can Yves Veggie Cuisine® organic pinto beans
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons ketchup
¼ cup bread crumbs
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons Spectrum® Organic Canola Oil

Directions

  1. Mash together beans, salt, cayenne pepper, garlic powder and ketchup until smooth with just a few lumps.
  2. Stir in bread crumbs and 1/2 of the cheddar cheese.
  3. Shape bean mixture into 2-inch wide patties and lay in a single layer on waxed paper.
  4. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  5. Heat a wide skillet over medium high heat.
  6. Add canola oil and fry burgers for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
